We specialize in mountaintop fun - there's always something to do at Wintergreen Resort every season. Discovery Ridge is where your family vacation starts. Check out the Adventure Center with indoor gaming. Outdoor options at this Virginia family resort include, The Zip, The Plunge (new this season with summer tubing!), the bungee trampoline, climbing tower, miniature golf, Ridgely's Fun Park (with horseshoes, croquet, lawn bowling and more!) and Seqway Tours! Wintergreen offers cool mountain temperatures that provide the perfect summer escape from the heat. Plus we'll have campfires with story-telling and s'mores, hayrides, movies under the stars and all kinds of craft workshops and games. No Virginia family vacation is complete without some swimming. The Aquatics & Fitness Center has an indoor pool open year round and an outdoor pool open Memorial Weekend through Labor Day. Down in the valley, your options include the Stoney Creek Pool or Lake Monocan. The lake offers a wide range of activities both in the water and on the beach.

Hiking

This Virginia family resort hotel has 30 miles of hiking trails from an easy stroll to a difficult mountain hike. Hiking Guides are available at the Front Desk or by stopping by The Wintergreen Nature Foundation. Hikes with a naturalist are offered by the Nature Foundation on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Favorite hikes include The Plunge, Shamokin Falls and Paul's Water Creek.
