Today, June 21, is the Summer Solstice, and the longest day of the year. The word solstice comes from the Latin solstitium, from sol (sun) and stitium (to stop). The sun, as it reaches its northernmost position from the equator, seems to pause, or stop, and create the longest day of the year. It seems appropriate for the sun to take a moment to linger today. Summer is all about taking time to relax, appreciate, and experience.
So, in honor of the first day of summer, we pay tribute to one of our most summery programs: Mountains of Adventure!
For those that choose adventure this summer, and family activities that will please everybody on your crew, the Wintergreen Mountains of Adventure Pass is your ticket to fun. Each pass is loaded with tons of free and discounted activities and adventures:

Not only do
we have two courses and two completely different designs, but when you book a Stay
& Play package, you’ll get a
great experience and a great value. Oh and did we mention that Devils Knob is
Virginia’s highest course? Well, it is! So if you’ve been looking for the best
experience and true mountain golf, look no further.
Vacations should be easy. To make your golf vacation as easy and enjoyable as possible, here’s a sample itinerary full of insider tips:
Play can last as many days as you want – we recommend Stay 2, Play 2. That way,
you can play Stoney Creek on day of arrival or day of departure, and you can
spend the entire middle day on the mountain to play Devils Knob.
On Your Way to Wintergreen
Start your vacation with a tasting tour! There’s wine, beer, and cider tastings along the road to Wintergreen – consider checking out Veritas, Bold Rock, Wild Wolf, Devils Backbone, or others along Nelson 151.
Check In: 4 pm
When checking in, be sure to look through This Week at Wintergreen for dining options, hours of operation, and events. Make sure your tee times are set up for the next 2 days!
Relax Before Dinner
Aquatics & Fitness Center - Hang out at the pool, work out in the fitness room, do a few laps, hit the sauna or steam rooms, then relax in the hot tubs.
The Edge – from starters and salads, to hearty sandwiches, bowls and burgers, it's a great way to unwind from a hectic work week. You can even sit at the bar and watch a ballgame on one of the TVs, and if you stay past 9 there might be some live music!
Don’t Forget To Look Up!
Before you go to sleep, if it’s a clear night, step onto your deck or patio and do some stargazing.
Fill up at The Copper Mine Bistro to fuel your day!
Golf Devils Knob
Get excited – you’re about to play Virginia’s highest course! This Ellis Maples designed 18 hole gem is a true mountaintop course with dramatic elevation changes. You’ll find narrow fairways, speedy greens and unsurpassed vistas. Typically 12-18 degrees cooler than surrounding areas, Devils Knob provides Virginia's coolest playing conditions throughout the summer and panoramic mountain foliage backdrop throughout the fall. If you love mountain golf, this is one for your bucket list.
Grab a bite at the snack shop, or go all the way at Devils Grill.
Devils Grill - Overlooking Devils Knob 18th hole, Devils Grill serves elegant contemporary fare in a beautiful club setting. From tasty sandwiches and salads at lunch, to hearty steaks and chops at dinner, Devils Grill uses the freshest and highest quality locally sourced food. Devils Grill is great for lunch or dinner, and the patio also offers an easy-breezy view of the course. And since you’re staying with the resort, you have exclusive access to both the golf course and Devils Grill.
Spa – After a day on the links, treat yourself to some TLC. The Arnica Sports Massage is geared to soothe tired muscles. Be sure to reserve your appointment before you come to guarantee the time and service that fits your schedule.
Hike – If you still have energy to burn, take a hike on over 30 miles of marked hiking trails and discover the beauty of The Blue Ridge Mountains.
Aquatics & Fitness – nobody would blame you for spending a little more time at the pool! Put your feet up on a chaise lounge and kick back.
The Copper Mine Bistro - From tapas to pizza or luscious entrees. Our favorites are the Seafood Sauté, Lamb Rack or Short Ribs. Or just make a meal of the tapas – the Risotto Cakes are over the top.
On your way to Stoney Creek Golf Course, stop at The Summit at Devils Backbone and grab a breakfast panini. See their menu.
Golf Stoney Creek
Upon completion of Stoney Creek, the "Open Doctor" Rees Jones remarked, "I think what Stoney Creek is to me, is one of the great settings in mountain golf." Offering spectacular vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Monocan, Shamokin and Tuckahoe "nines" wind their way through the Rockfish Valley and combine to make this a contemporary design classic. With surprising elevation changes, contoured greens and the occasional side hill lie, Jones brought the natural elements of the landscape into play: meandering streams, hardwood forests and pristine wetlands. A real joy to play!
Stoney Creek Bar & Grill - Our restaurant in the valley sports an amazing veranda with fantastic mountain and golf course views. Choose from satisfying sandwiches like the Turkey BLT, Cheesesteak, or Smoked Ham, Apple and Goat Cheese Wrap. And for guilt free dining, the Chicken Cobb is satisfyingly delicious.
Before You Go
Spend a little time at Lake Monocan – lounge on the sandy beach or take a stand up paddle board for a spin.
On your way home, stop by Blue Ridge Pig in Nellysford. Bring the area’s best barbecue home for dinner!
Call Wintergreen and book your next Wintergreen getaway!
Stay & Play
starts at $99 (per person, per night) and includes accommodations AND a
round of golf! It’s tough to find a better deal. But check out all of our
Stay & Play packages - we have three versions!

Wintergreen is centrally located in beautiful Nelson County with endless options for exploring this fascinating area. From the Red, White & Brew Trail, to peach and apple orchards, which we fondly call the Fruit Loop Trail, to Civil War sites and presidential homes, a stay at Wintergreen can combine the best of the resort with local flavor.
One of the most popular ways to make Wintergreen your home base is to take a tasting tour. Explore the world of wine, microbrews, hard cider and spirits. Nelson County has 20 sipping options making repeat trips a necessity. See more!
History runs deep in Nelson County and many of the orchards that dot the landscape have roots going back generations. From May to December you have a unique opportunity to taste and tour the best of Nelson County. From peaches and Asian pears to berries and cherries and the best selection of apples, discover your favorite with the Blue Ridge Mountains as your backdrop. See more!
Make Wintergreen the hub for a presidential tour of historic homes, all within a short drive of the resort. Visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and Poplar Forest, James Madison’s Montpelier, James Monroe’s Ashlawn Highland and Woodrow Wilson’s Presidential Library and Museum, and enjoy the beauty of Virginia while learning about these great men and their contributions to our nation.
Much of the Civil War was fought in Virginia and the state of Virginia has compiled five regional programs that tell the interesting stories of the war. So Explore Virginia’s back roads and learn some history while driving and walking through history. You can discover two campaigns that took place close to Wintergreen, The Shenandoah Valley Avenue of Invasion and Lee’s Retreat, The Final Campaigns. Just check out Virginia’s Civil War Trails program for full color maps and details of the campaigns.
Whether you’re looking for a dramatic waterfall, hiking along the Appalachian Trail, or trails made from railroad beds, Nelson County has lots of options to get out and explore this beautiful part of the world. See more!
For those who love a road trip, use Wintergreen as your starting point for some truly spectacular drives.
Parkway North. At the gatehouse turn right and go up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn right and go north for 13.5 miles. While on the parkway, feel free to stop at the various overlooks and the views of the Shenandoah Valley on the west. Humpback Rock at milepost 5.8 is a great hike that’s worth the uphill climb for the 360 degree panoramic view from the summit. At the end of the Parkway, turn East on Rt. 250. On your right is the stunningly beautiful Rockfish Valley. Go five miles to Rt. 151 and turn right, going south. Along this drive you’ll find wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries all waiting to welcome you to taste their products. Turn right on Rt. 664 to wind your way back to Wintergreen.
Parkway South. At the gatehouse turn right and go up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn left going south on the Parkway. You’ll go to milepost 27 and turn left on Rt. 56. As you wind your way down, look for Crabtree Falls. You can take the two mile hike to the top of the falls, which is particularly dramatic after a rain storm. As you continue down Rt. 56 stop off at some of the local orchards and sample the fruit in season. Turn left on Rt. 151 and wind through Brent’s Mountain pass. Be sure to stop by Devils Backbone before you turn left on Rt. 664 and head back up the mountain.

My normal makeup mission has only two real objectives: camouflage under eye circles and cover blemishes. If I accomplish these objectives I put the day in the “win” column.
But now I am engaged to be married. The wedding is in August at Wintergreen and I really have no idea how to do my makeup, or even how to direct someone to do my makeup for me.
Yesterday was their Jane Iredale Makeup Launch party, and I got a 30 minute consultation and makeup lesson with the lovely, talented, and patient Valerie.
This is what Valerie had to deal with:
There are a million products, right? They all promise miracles. Many leave us disappointed. Why does The Spa at Wintergreen use Jane Iredale Makeup?
I learned a lot. Valerie took the time to try different shades on me, ask about my wedding, my flowers, and what I wanted to look like. She explained what she was using, how to use it, and had an assistant write everything down for me. This was SO helpful. Now I can come back and buy more products when I am ready, and I will already know which ones will look the best on me. I won’t waste money on something I don’t like. Plus, now we have a game plan for the makeup on my wedding day!
Now that I’ve tried a high quality makeup line, I realize how harsh some of the grocery store makeups can be. My skin is just too sensitive for me to ever enjoy using those products. Jane Iredale makeup was much better for sensitive skin and eyes. It also made me feel like I was doing something good for my skin. Instead of covering up things that I don’t like, I was giving my skin the things it needs to look its best. It was like health food for your face.
So whether you have a special event planned (a wedding?!) or you just want to do something kind for your skin, booking a makeup lesson and/or a facial with Valerie is so helpful, relaxing, and fun!Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Monday, May 22, 2017

The first races are May 27-28 over Memorial Day Weekend. Both races will follow a cross country format leading you through long bursting climbs and exhilarating downhills.
Hear what professional mountain biker Jeremiah Bishop loves about the Wintergreen Tread & Trail Series in the video below. Jeremiah is a professional mountain biker, Pan American Games Gold Medalist, eleven-time member of the USA Cycling National Team, and two-time National Champion. We are sure there are MANY more honors, but those are just the highlights! Jeremiah came to pre-ride our trails this week and was kind enough to film some videos with us. Throughout the summer, Jeremiah will share a series of mountain biking tips about how to conquer the trails on our mountain, so keep an eye out for future videos!

At Wintergreen, it seems like we have more than our share of fair weather, but sometimes it has to rain. After all, without rain we wouldn’t have some of the things we love most, like rushing waterfalls, rainbows, and The Wildflower Symposium (May 19-21)! So here are some of our favorite ways to
enjoy Wintergreen on a rainy day:
After rain is the best time to go on a waterfall hike. Runoff feeds the waterfall and turns what can sometimes be a trickle into a much more beautiful and impressive display. Some of our favorites are Upper Shamokin Falls and Paul’s Creek Trail which has a waterslide! Hiking Guides are available for $3 at the Front Desk or at the The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen. This guide gives detailed descriptions of each trail, with distance, difficulty and key features to note while hiking.
And keep your eyes out for rainbows and wildflowers! Right now, one of our most-loved wildflowers is in bloom on the mountain – Trillium! These pink three-petalled flowers are a true delight. The field next to The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen’s Trillium House produces a carpet of flowers every
spring. Just be careful not to step on or pick the trillium, as this can kill the plant. But they normally bloom for several weeks, so make sure to visit soon!
Calling all golfers - Devils Knob,* Virginia's highest course, is open for the season! The fairways are a striking emerald green, and the trees are poised to leaf out. Before the leaves fill in, you'll see even more fabulous views than normal, so it's a great time to come up and play.
Check out our Stay & Play Packages for an unbeatable deal - golf AND mountaintop accommodations starting at just $79!
When Ellis Maples designed Devils Knob, his challenge was to enhance its stunning Blue Ridge Mountain setting. Sitting at an elevation of over 3,800 feet, players at this member and resort guest exclusive course leave Devils Knob remembering narrow fairways, speedy greens and unsurpassed vistas. If you are searching for a true mountain golf challenge, Devils Knob golf course is a "must play."
For tee times, course conditions, events and more information, call 434-325-8250.
*Devils Knob is exclusive to Wintergreen Resorts guests, members and guests of members, or if you have a group of 8 or more.

Spring at Wintergreen is among the richest times of year to venture into the woods. Before the trees leaf out, wildflowers take advantage of the extra light and produce a colorful array of flowers that carpet the forest floor. Here are a few of the best trails to find a great diversity of wildflowers at Wintergreen.
Old Appalachian Trail (Cedar Dr to Laurel Springs): This remnant of the 2190 mile trail that used to run through Wintergreen is a wildflower powerhouse. Trillium, lady slippers, fly poison, azaleas, rhododendron, wood betony and many more wildflowers bloom prolifically along this trail. This west –northwest aspect creates a moist, rich environment that is ideal for flower diversity. It also offers spectacular views into the Shenandoah Valley. The trail is rated moderate-difficult.
Highlands Leisure Trail- This heavily used trail is often thought of as a way from the Mountain Inn to the top of the mountain. Once flowers begin to emerge, this trail is transformed to a botanists dream. This moderate .5 mile trail offers some of the best flowers Wintergreen has to offer. From wild geranium to Canada lily this hike constantly surprises hikers with its constant barrage of flowers. Combine this hike with a stop at the Trillium Field, across Wintergreen Drive from the top of the trail, and the hiker increases the viewing pleasure by adding thousands of white and pink trillium to hiking experience.
Cedar Cliffs Main – Hemlock Springs Trail: One of the best loop hikes at Wintergreen is Cedar Cliffs Main around to Hemlock Springs trail. This moderate 2 – 2.5 mile loop starts with the dry, rocky ridge on Cedar Cliff main. This trail is loaded with mountain laurel and rhododendron which offer a great late spring flower show. At the end of the trail is a wonderful overlook into the Shamokin Gorge. On the rocky outcrop is a bunch of lovely bleeding hearts. Turn onto Cedar Cliffs South to join up with Hemlock Springs. This wet, streamlined trail is a great change of pace to Cedar Cliffs Main. It is loaded with ferns, may apple and some pink and yellow lady slippers. This section of hiking is accessed using Grassy Ridge gravel road found at the bottom of Grassy Ridge Drive.
Enjoy!Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Friday, April 14, 2017

First things first, we want to send a big thank you to everyone who has visited us this winter and enjoyed skiing and riding with us! The slopes are closed Monday-Friday this week, with the possibility of reopening on Saturday, March 25. It all depends on the weather – stay tuned!
Second, we actually have another first… today is the first day of spring!
While we love winter at Wintergreen, the truth is that the fun doesn’t stop when the snow melts.
Spring comes to the mountain with a parade of wildflowers that have been lovingly preserved by Wintergreen Resort and The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen. Mark your calendars for these upcoming events celebrating spring:
Needless to say, during springtime the mountain becomes a hiker’s paradise. With over 30 miles of marked hiking trails ranging from the rugged and steep to the short and sweet, Wintergreen Resort is a hiker’s paradise. Trails explore waterfalls, unbroken wilderness, and incredible views of the Shenandoah and Rockfish Valley.
Golf and Tennis kick into high gear, and the Spa soothes away any remaining chill from winter. Spring also brings some of our best travel packages of the season.
Wow, what a difference a few inches of snow and cold weather makes! It’s been a winter wonderland that past few days and we are set up for a terrific weekend. It could be your last chance for skiing and riding until next December. Make the most of it and head to Wintergreen.
The days are longer and the sun is shining. We have winter-like conditions and great rates, so even if you only take advantage of our 4-hour lift ticket, it’s worth the trip to the mountain.
And the best deal on the mountain is the Ski & Ride More overnight package – you’ll get two days of skiing and riding for the price of one!
Check out the Mountain Minute below with pictures our of winter wonderland!
The question remains, what will March 25 bring? Perhaps one last hurrah. Stay tuned.
Winter Storm Stella brought 2-4 inches of natural snow last night, and the mountain is all dressed up in white this morning.

We're looking forward to several days of beautiful weather, with the weekend warming up to highs in the 40s. It's a great week to come up and see us, whether you can squeeze in a midweek escape or a weekend getaway.

Thank you to everyone who came out last weekend and participated in all our great events. From Be Bold Weekend, to Mardi Gras and the Terrain Park Rail Jam, it was a really fun weekend for all. Thanks to the hard work of our snow crews, we were able to make
enough snow to refresh slopes. Skiers and riders brought their own fun and reported that conditions were surprisingly good, especially considering the weather we’ve had to contend with!
It’s too early to tell for sure, but meteorologists are saying that a storm is brewing that could bring us as much as four inches of natural snow on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Some optimists are projecting even greater accumulations, but who knows?! As we get closer, keep your eyes on the forecast and do your snow dances!

This roller coaster winter continues! We’ve hit another cold spell and we project that we will operate daily 9 am-5 pm through March 12. You still have time to get in your last runs of the season before it’s a sweet memory. Check the website for the most up-to-date information on conditions and open terrain.
Temps dropped Wednesday night, allowing us to hold onto the snow that we’ve got. We have also been able to add some limited snowmaking to freshen the trails we have open. Night skiing, tubing, and Ridgely’s Fun Park are all closed for winter, but we’ve still got snow for skiing and riding, and there’s still plenty of fun to be had on the hill!
Speaking of fun… it’s Be Bold Weekend with Bold Rock Hard Cider, and Mardi Gras with Wintergreen Adaptive Sports!
We’re open 9 am-5 pm today, temps are dropping, and there’s still fun skiing and riding to be found at Wintergreen!
Taking on Mother Nature is no easy feat, but we’re doing our best to make and preserve as much snow as possible! Yesterday’s storm did not bring as much rain as expected (around ½ inch), and temps dropped early, allowing us to turn on a few fan guns for a few hours.
We expect to be able to get some limited snowmaking done tonight through Saturday or early Sunday morning. There’s even a slight chance of natural snow on Friday night. Weekend temps will be more seasonable than we have seen lately – it will feel like winter! We’re expecting bluebird skies and lots of fun. It’ll be WAS Mardi Gras and Be Bold Weekend with Bold Rock Hard Cider. The Highlands will be open this weekend, but keep an eye on the Mountain Cams and the Slope Report for updates.

We are open and operating as normal today but we are expecting severe thunderstorms to arrive in the area around 1 pm which may force slope closures. Today we will only be selling 4-Hour Lift Tickets for $39.
Come get your skiing and riding in early!
After the storms roll through we plan on getting in some limited snowmaking late Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening, possibly Sunday morning. Despite the challenging weather, our crews are still fighting for every flake of snow. In addition to the limited snowmaking Thursday through Saturday, there is a slight possibility of some natural snow on Friday night. Bottom line is the snow's still cold and we're still having fun on the hill! Keep an eye on the Mountain Cams and the Slope Report for updates!
The Plunge has closed for the winter season. We invite you back for the spring/summer/fall version of tubing.

Today we are open 9 am-5 pm for skiing and riding! This rollercoaster winter continues, and our snow crews continue their amazing work. Snow conditions are spring-like and we are watching the weather daily to make the most of it.
Skiing and Riding – Open daily 9 am- 5 pm through the end of the season.
Night Skiing – Over for the season.
Tubing – Against all odds, the miracle workers on our snow crews were able to rebuild a limited number of lanes this weekend for tubing. Tubing will be closed midweek and we will reevaluate on Thursday if we can open it back up for next weekend.
Snowmaking – Saturday night brought back cold temps and we were able to fit in some limited snowmaking on Saturday and Sunday. Looking into our crystal ball, there is a chance for some limited snowmaking on Friday.
Thanks to everyone who came out this past weekend to enjoy the snow. Keep thinking COLD thoughts!

Winter is winding down and that means changes to our operational schedule.
Lift Ticket Rates Saturday-Sunday, February 25-26
Wintergreen's award-winning Ski Patrol is responsible for first aid and assistance to visitors and employees of Wintergreen Resort. This Saturday, February 25, is Ski with a Patroller Day – if you have ever thought of becoming a ski patroller, this is your chance to see what it’s like!
Becoming a Ski Patroller includes great perks like first tracks and beautiful sunrises, but the best reason to do it is to help keep skiers and riders safe. This includes being fully trained for emergencies, but also being proactive to avoid accidents. It’s a wonderful service that we are all tremendously grateful for!

Spring skiing is like the cherry on top of a sundae, the kiss at the end of a date, or the victory lap after a big win. It's that little extra
celebration of the end of another winter season.
Spring skiing is also your reward for braving the harsher aspects of winter. It's your reward for bundling up through the cold months, for guarding against chapped lips and icicles in your hair. Spring skiing lets you leave all that behind and just come play in the snow!
Warmer temps, longer days, quieter slopes and great deals -- what's not to love?
Everyone at Wintergreen certainly loves spring skiing and riding, including everyone's favorite bear: Ridgely! Josh and Ellen caught up with Ridgely last week and got a bear's eye view of winter.Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Wednesday, February 22, 2017
A big thanks to everyone who came out this holiday weekend! Lots of fun was had by all -- skiing, riding and tubing on great snow with spring skiing temps.
The weather may be a bit warmer than usual but we still have a lot of snow and almost all of our trails are open. Despite temperature challenges, snowmakers (or should we call them snow magicians?) are working hard to deliver an enjoyable surface. Their hard work has paid off, we have maximized snow production at every turn and preserved trails and conditions to an amazing degree. Keep an eye on The Slope Report and keep thinking cold.
In the meantime --now is the time to enjoy some spring skiing!

Can it be true? Have our snowmakers worked wonders yet again? Of course!
SNOWPOWER had another phenomenal run this week, pumping out tons of snow to ensure great snow surfaces this weekend. The big surprise is: Lower Cliffhanger reopens today! The weather looks great all weekend long, temps in the 50s with mostly clear skies.
Take advantage of the long weekend – when you come up to Wintergreen you feel like you’re a world away. Don't have lodging booked yet? We're pretty full but we might be able to squeeze you in! Holiday weekends usually have a 2-night minimum, but we have a few holes to fill on Sunday night so you could luck out! Call 866-470-8608!

Wintergreen snowmakers were back at it yesterday, using SNOWPOWER to blanket the slopes for the weekend. The snow guns will continue blasting snow through tomorrow morning, ensuring refreshed surfaces for the long weekend. Temps are forecast to warm up, which means comfortable temps and great sliding surfaces
for skiing, riding, and tubing all weekend long!
See you on the slopes!

Yesterday, The Blue Ridge Express transformed into The Lift to Love from 1-4 pm. Popular love songs filled the air, a hearts-and-flowers decorated archway formed over the singles lift lines, and speed daters took their chances at finding "The Powder of Love."
Cupid and The Captain of Love were on hand to facilitate the event. Cupid's arrow struck many unsuspecting skiers and snowboarders who were then persuaded to join in on the fun. Before we knew it, singles and couples alike were joining the event. After all, Valentine's Day celebrates all kinds of love, from love for a significant other, friends and family, or just love of snowsports!
Participants were given Hershey's kisses from Cupid's kissing booth, but some took the kissing booth a bit more literally. A drawing will be held to give away a date at Bold Rock Hard Cider to one lucky participant. Participants - don't forget to sign up for the drawing!
An amazing time was had by all, and Wintergreen would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a huge success, from Cupid and the whole crew who ran the event, to all the participants who were such great sports!Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Wednesday, February 15, 2017
It’s amazing what our team of
snowmakers can do! It’s been a roller coaster of temperatures lately, but
we have been ready at every turn to make the most of cold spells and turn it
into lots of snow. If you need to see it to believe it, check out the pictures
below that were taken this morning! Better yet, come
see for yourself – blue bird skies and new surfaces.
The week ahead is full of snowmaking opportunities. We
cranked up SNOWPOWER last night at 1 am, and made snow until noon. And we’ll be back at it tonight. Then we should be able to
make snow Wednesday night through Friday.
What does that mean for you? Great snow conditions all week that continue through the holiday weekend. Next weekend may be a bit warmer, but all that will mean is warmer air above all our great snow.

Temps dropped and we were ready. SNOWPOWER came roaring back early this morning and we are blanketing the slopes with fresh fluffy white stuff for the weekend! Slopes will be refreshed and ready for a great winter weekend of skiing, riding and tubing! Keep an eye on the
Slope Report, you may even see some slope additions!
Another winter classic is on the horizon: Presidents’ Weekend is February 17-20. We’re seeing nighttime snowmaking temps next week which will make for a special looong weekend full of great snow and winter fun. In addition to excellent skiing, riding and tubing, we have wonderful activities
planned, including Demo Days by Freestyle, Wintergreen Rail Jam, great music slopeside, live entertainment at The Edge, and NASTAR!
It’s too soon to be completely confident of the weather next weekend but we’re seeing seasonable temps and clear skies in the forecast.Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Friday, February 10, 2017
This Valentine's Day, discover The Powder of Love on top of the mountain at Wintergreen Resort.
On February 14, The Blue Ridge Express becomes The Lift to Love from 1-4 pm. We'll have a separate line for speed dating, we'll pair you up and send you off with a card full of conversation starters to make talking easy. Remember, you both already have snowsports in common, and have fun!
If you don't discover The Powder of Love with your match, simply part ways after unloading the lift and try again after your next run. If you find a chairlift love connection, continue skiing together or meet up later. Who knows, dinner may be on someone else!
Whether you find your Snow Match or not, this will be a low-pressure, fun event with Hershey kisses for all daters and a special visit from Cupid!
This event is free with a valid lift ticket.Last Edited by The Mountain Messenger on Monday, February 06, 2017
The air is crisp, the snow is fresh, and all we need now is you! Conditions are some of the best we've had this season, so don't miss it!
Tons of snowmaking over the last week has allowed us to open and reopen almost all of our terrain. If you check our Slope Report, you’ll be happy to see lots of open trails and continued snowmaking. We’ll have strong snowmaking throughout this weekend, with some daytime snowmaking on open trails to build our base and keep the surface super slidable.
Mark your calendars for these great upcoming events:
