Family Fun Festival

It's a weekend with fun for the whole family with games, races, demo days and s’mores around the campfire. Throw in skiing, riding, tubing, skating and zipping and it will be your family's favorite vacation. Don’t miss the Slopestyle event on Saturday, February 1 – it’s the second in the series of five terrain parks events. 

February 1
Wintergreen Slopestyle, Event 2 of 5

Join us for the Wintergreen Slopestyle, part of the winter terrain park series, consisting of three Rail Jams and two Slopestyles. Open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages; valid lift ticket required and registration fee of $25. Join us for one or all of five of our events. Prizes will be awarded for individual events as well as a grand prize for competitors that compete in three out of five events.  Event Time: 6 pm. Register at Snowsports Desk from 4:30-5:30 pm. 

February 7
Wintergreen Women's Friday Clinics

Women’s Ski & Ride clinics, offered on Fridays from late January through mid-February, are geared for women who want to improve their skiing and riding skills, taught by Wintergreen’s PSIA/AASI female instructors. Sign up for one or all four. The clinics are from 9 am-2 pm. Lunch and instruction is included. Cost: $125 per clinic or $425 for all four. Lift ticket and rental equipment are not included. Call 434-325-8065 for questions and to register.

Winterfest Weekend

Don't let old man winter get you down! We have a fun weekend planned where you'll find the exhilaration of winter sports and games! Dress in your finest at the Lost & Found Fashion Show, discover the Secret Skier, participate in or watch the Freestyle Double Cross on Sunday.

February 9
Freestyle Double Cross

Join us for the second of three Double Cross events.  Format: Four competitors at a time race through a specially designed terrain park. Points are tallied throughout the season's events.  Great prizes for the winners! Open to all ages, skiing and snowboarding.

United States Air Force Heritage Brass Chamber Ensemble

Heritage Brass, a traditional Brass Quintet with percussion, is the longest tenured small ensemble within the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. This exceptional group tours the Mid-Atlantic and New England region from South Carolina to Maine, always leaving audiences delighted with their world-class musicianship and entertaining showmanship. From classical to jazz and popular music, from Bach to the Beatles, the group brings its brilliant brass sound to all music genres, providing a variety of music that’s both educational and exciting. Featuring gifted Airman-musicians educated at several top music schools, Heritage Brass impresses and inspires.

Presidents' Weekend

A long weekend to take advantage of great skiing, riding and tubing! Some of our best conditions are in February - be sure to book your weekend early. Lots of fun planned for this LONG weekend. Events will include:  

  • Demo Days by Freestyle (Saturday & Sunday at the Top of Acorn)  
  • Wintergreen Rail Jam (6 pm on Sunday in the Terrain Park) 
  • DJ mixing up the tunes outside the rental shop on the snow (Saturday, Sunday & Monday). 
  • Live entertainment at The Edge (Friday & Saturday)

Inscape String Quartet

The Inscape String Quartet is comprised of the principal members of the Washington, DC based Inscape Chamber Orchestra, which has been praised by critics and audiences for its insightful programs and exciting performances of both new and old works. Members of the Inscape Quartet regularly perform in the Detroit, National, Baltimore, and Maryland symphonies. Upcoming engagements include recitals at the Wintergreen Performing Arts Series and the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, among other area venues. The Inscape Quartet recently recorded works for string quartet and winds by Justin Boyer for the Sono Luminus label in a project featuring the Inscape Chamber Orchestra.

Double Cross Finals & Adventure Weekend

Join us for an action packed, fun-filled weekend. The goal for the weekend: participate in as many Wintergreen adventures and receive a stamp for each activity you participate in. Each stamp will represent an entry into the Adventure of a Lifetime Sweepstakes drawing for one pair of skis/or snowboard, one private ski/or snowboard lesson, overnight accommodations for two for one night. Collect your stamps by participating in The Zip, tubing at The Plunge, Ridgley’s Fun Park, Discover Skiing/Snowboarding, Skiing or Snowboarding, entering the Freestyle Double Cross, group or private ski/snowboard lesson, golfing at Stoney Creek and the Discovery Ridge Adventure Center.  The featured event for the weekend is the Freestyle Double Cross (2/22).

Mardi Gras Weekend

Join us for the annual Mardi Gras celebration, presented by Wintergreen Adaptive Sports.  The weekend will feature the Syncro skiing event, costume parade and much more. Join us on Saturday, March 1st for the Wintergreen Rail Jam in the Terrain Park; open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
