Sports are fun, but they are more fun when you get better. Nike camps are designed to help your child be a better player and a more inspired athlete. Your children will improve skills, make new friends, laugh hard and smile a lot. Wintergreen is proud to again host Nike camps for both tennis and golf. Learn more about Nike Tennis Camp or Nike Golf Camp.
Offered from June through August, the Junior Golf & Tennis camps combine time improving both your child’s golf and tennis game. Your junior player will spend the morning working on their tennis game, break for lunch and a dip in the pool, then end the afternoon with golf instruction. The program runs weekly from Monday-Thursday. You can choose to attend all four days, or just one or two days.

The Wintergreen Summer Music Festival (July 6-August 6) offers plenty of learning experiences. This year's theme: "Fountain of Youth." Dive into the music of child prodigies Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Rota; celebrate the young at heart with the artistry of Charlie Chaplin and Christopher O'Riley; and remember your own childhood with favorite folk, pop, and jazz music from decades past. Of course, you'll be treated to musical excellence, artistic creativity, thrilling orchestra concerts, intimate chamber performances, a welcoming community, happy patrons, exciting cooking classes, and great parties. See festival highlights.

Wintergreen’s central location is a perfect home base for summer learning vacations for all ages with excursions to nearby historic homes and gardens, interpretative museums and civil war sites. Visit the presidential homes of Thomas Jefferson (Monticello and Poplar Forest), James Monroe (Ashlawn-Highlands), James Madison (Montpelier) and Woodrow Wilson’s Presidential Library and Museum. Civil War history can be found at Appomattox Courthouse; and in Lexington, you’ll find Stonewall Jackson’s home and the Lee Chapel and Museum. The Civil War Trail explores Virginia’s back roads, learning history while driving and walking through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and central Virginia. See more on our Area Attractions page.
We recommend starting your day visiting historic sites and museums, then heading back to the resort to enjoy refreshing swimming and cool mountaintop breezes.
