The resort will serve a lavish Thanksgiving Buffet at Copper Mine Bistro from 1-6 p.m. as well as traditional fare at Stoney Creek Bar & Grill and Devils Grill. Holiday dinner reservations suggested.
Preparation for ski season kicks off with a Ski Swap on Friday at Skyline Pavilion. The event supports the Wintergreen Ski Patrol with the opportunity to buy or sell used skis, boots, snowboards and ski clothing. The doors open at 9 a.m. to receive consignments.
Mouthwatering aromas of gingerbread will fill the air during three Gingerbread House Workshops throughout Friday afternoon. Wintergreen’s signature Plunge Tubing Park will open weather permitting, and weekend activities are planned at Discovery Ridge Adventure Center. The grand illumination on the Blue Ridge Terrace at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 23 officially kicks off the holiday season.
Additional Thanksgiving weekend entertainment scheduled for Saturday and Sunday includes wreath making, kid’s ornament workshops, holiday candy bingo, and a Warren Miller movie, “Like There’s No Tomorrow,” at Discovery Ridge Adventure Center with free popcorn and cash bar.
