January 19, 6-7:30 pm (MLK Weekend)
NEW!! Battle of the Pros (APO,$$): In the first event of the season, come watch two world ranked female touring professionals, Lindsey Hardenbergh and Macall Harkins battle in a singles exhibition!
February 16, 6-8 pm
2nd Annual Wintergreen Winter Wonderland Social Tennis Event (WMO): The first Tennis playing event of the New Year! Purely social – come out and meet new tennis friends. Limited to first 24 registrants.
April 19, 5-7 pm
Friday Nights Mixed Doubles Kick-off Social/Mixer (APO,SC,$$): An Opening Night Social for the popular Friday Nights Mixed Doubles at the Stoney Creek courts. Come out and meet/mix with old and new friends.
Fridays April 19 through October 25, 5-7 pm
Friday Night Mixed Doubles (APO,SC): Strictly “social” tennis. Held every Friday at the Stoney Creek courts. You don’t need a partner and bring a guest if you like.
May 25-27
Spring Slam Tournament (APO,$$): An always popular Memorial Day Weekend Team Event. Teams chosen by Tennis Staff. Includes lunch on Saturday, May 25 and an Awards Banquet Dinner on Sunday evening, May 26. Click here (pdf) for more information.
Saturdays June 1 through August 24
Property Owners’ Flight (APO) Enjoy doubles with three different partners with overall win-loss records to determine your weekly playing partners. Great way to meet new players.
July 7
3rd Annual Wimbledon-Themed Social Tennis Event (APO,$$) Enjoy strawberries and cream and a bit of the bubbly. Play tennis and watch the Men’s Wimbledon Final on a courtside wide-screen TV.
August 3-4
Club Doubles Championship (WMO,$$) Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles divisions (6.0, 7.0, and 8.0+). Teams will be determined by a Blind Draw from all Applicants according to their USTA Rating. Includes lunch both days of the event.
August 31-September 2 (Labor Day Weekend)
Property Owners’ Flight Championship (APO)“Team” Format using summer-long results with “themed” Party, Sunday Night, September 1.
November 23rd
Annual Un-Halloween Social Tennis Event (WMO) A popular event with an award for “best” costume. 6:00-8:00 pm. Limited to first 24 registrants.
December 6-8
Members’ Discounted Tennis Academy (4.0 & Above, WMO,$$) Once again, discounted academies for WPI members. A great Christmas gift or get yourself ready for all those Christmas goodies!
December 13-15
Members’ Discounted Tennis Academy (3.5 & Below, WMO,$$) See above.
