Want to love where you work?
Working in a resort setting in a career you love is a formula for job satisfaction. Every position at Wintergreen is important to our quest to provide incomparable experiences for our members, guests, and visitors. But it’s not all about work. As you unwind after a hard day’s work, or even before you start the day, you can enjoy many of the same amenities our guests do as part of our benefits package.
What do we value?
As you make your career choices, it’s important you understand what Wintergreen values. We place emphasis on being friendly, clean, productive, and focused on continuous improvement. If you share these values, then you will find Wintergreen a fulfilling work environment.
Jason Mohler (middle), Public Area Crew Leader, earned Wintergreen's 2013 October Memory Master Award for his consistent and successful efforts to keep the resort spotless. Since 1999, Jason has been working in a difficult job that is behind the scenes, and Geoff Truslow, Director of Lodging (left), and Hank Thiess, General Manager (right), threw a little spotlight on him during a recent celebration.
How do we show our appreciation?
All full-time employees participate in an incentive pay plan, in addition to their base pay and attractive benefits package. Great performers are rewarded with the best pay, promotions, and recognition. Most leaders have been promoted from within, and anyone who lives our values everyday can be a hero.
What’s the Wintergreen scene?
You'll work hard, so we want you to enjoy life, too.
- Our recreational benefits are exceptional, so if you are passionate about skiing, snowboarding, golf, tennis, working out, going to the spa, tubing, or eating, then you definitely will like it here.
- We have a diverse work force comprised of some of the hardest working people in Nelson and the surrounding counties as our core staff, and internationals from South America, Europe, the Philippines, and Jamaica to help round out our seasonal needs. This blend creates an interesting and fun environment in which we all learn about other people and cultures.
- Your manager will help you set and meet your goals, so you can develop your skills.
- Some departments offer flexible scheduling.
