The Wintergreen Nature Foundation (TWNF) exists to encourage the understanding, appreciation and conservation of the natural resources of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia. The Foundation facilitates research and education for its members and visitors, and will serve as a host site for regional, national, and international conservation efforts. Hiking maps and trail maps may be obtained from the Nature Foundation's home base, the Trillium House at Wintergreen.

TWNF offers a variety of programs from introductions to the Blue Ridge to intensive studies of the region's flora and fauna to explorations of Virginia's cultural history. The Foundation naturalists and volunteers lead hikes and outings weekly # topics, times and fees vary, contact the Foundation for details.

The Foundation is based at Trillium House at Wintergreen Resort, and offers assistance to visitors interested in hiking Wintergreen or nearby trails. Robin's Nook offers quiet play and resources for families to spend time together with stories, puzzles and games.
