Another blast of arctic air arrives this afternoon, allowing us to make even more snow! YES, winter is here. We started off the week concentrating our snowmaking efforts in The Plunge Tubing Park and watching next weeks weather closely. Tonight our strategy shifts some as we bring on line our fully automated system. Our goal over the next week will be to make as much snow as we can in hopes of opening THE PLUNGE (and maybe some skiing) by Thanksgiving Weekend. We would love to beat our scheduled opening of the ski area currently advertised as December 12th . We are not ready to say December 6th is “in the bag”, we are to focused on beating that date by trying to ski on Thanksgiving weekend….. If you want to be ready for opening day, you had better get your equipment out of the attic and tuned up!

We spent the last 8 months planning for this season and are excited to have you back. What’s new this year includes Ridgely's Fun Park - a family fun area at Discovery Ridge where kids and parents can play, tube, crawl, slide, sing and more..... also the installation of 20 fan snow guns providing us with more snowmaking fire power. Terrain Park Lovers will be delighted to know that we added a second park grooming tractor to our fleet allowing us to focus more time and creativity on building and maintaining features

The Best Way to stay informed about what is happening up here is on the web. Please check this report prior to your visit for the most up to date snow and slope information. All of the weather people we talk to are telling us that below normal temps will be the norm for the rest of November and the first part of December. Cold weather like that should allow us to get off to a great start this season. Bring it on!
