When you come to Wintergreen, you are here to enjoy yourself and to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate.  One key to relaxing is being comfortable and confident knowing your accommodations have been thoroughly and professionally cleaned and prepped for your stay.

As part of Wintergreen Resort’s mission to maintain a safer, more comfortable environment for our guests and staff, we have instituted our Caring Clean practices throughout the resort.  Caring Clean procedures and standards go beyond the general cleaning practices typically established for the industry.  In addition to the obvious health benefits, a key reason we have adopted the Caring Clean protocols is so you can have the peace of mind that will allow you to get the most out of your time here.

Lodging Types

Lodging at Wintergreen Resort varies widely from studios to multi-bedroom condominiums, to large private homes.  All accommodations are privately owned, feature different floor plans and offer unique décor. Our accommodations owners have selected Wintergreen Resort to manage their properties reservations, which provides guests choosing to reserve through Wintergreen Resort the Wintergreen Advantage.  Our Resort guests enjoy access to the exclusive guest and member amenities, such as the Aquatics and Fitness Center, Devils Knob Golf and Racquet Sports, and Devils Grill. Most accommodations are either near the Blackrock Village Center or Devils Knob.

Blackrock Village Center

Features close proximity to retail shops, ski slopes, The Edge Restaurant, Copper Mine Restaurant, Upper Crust Pizza, The Terrace Café, The Market & Deli, Treehouse for Kids, and Discovery Ridge Adventure Center.

Devils Knob Area

Offers close proximity to The Spa, Aquatics and Fitness Center, Devils Grill, Devils Knob Golf Course, Devils Knob Racquet Sports facility, and Wintergreen Nature Foundation. 

Please keep in mind, because of the mountain topography and terrain, most units will have multiple stairs both exterior and interior.  If an ease of access or limited stairs is requested, please be sure to discuss with your reservations agent at the time of booking.

Reservation Policy and Information

Deposits:

  • All reservations require a credit card deposit of first night’s rate, due at time of booking; and full remaining balance will be collected at check-in.
  • Deposit and cancellation policies may vary for groups, special events and promotions.

Cancellation:

  • Deposit is non-refundable if reservation is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival or if you do not arrive as scheduled.
  • If cancellation is 14 days or more before arrival, deposit is refunded less $25.
  • Reservation (length of stay, package reserved, etc.) cannot be changed within 14 days of arrival.
  • No refunds are given for early departures or unused package components.
  • Wintergreen offers no guarantee of weather conditions, or availability of activities and amenities. 

    Reservations:

    • All lodging rates include:
      • are subject to 10% resort fees which provides:
        • Complimentary access to Aquatics & Fitness Center
        • Complimentary access to Lake Monocan including exclusive Saturday access
        • Complimentary use of on-mountain shuttle service
        • Access to Devils Knob Golf (fees apply)
        • Access to Devils Knob Racquet Sports for Tennis and Pickleball, indoor and outdoor courts (fees apply)
        • Access to Devils Grill Restaurant
        • 8 a.m. slope access on holidays and weekends in January and February
        • Free or discounted summer activities
        • 24-hour front desk and switchboard services including activity and emergency notification
        • Room charging privileges
        • On-site housekeeping and maintenance services
      • State and local taxes, currently 10.3%
      • $1 per night donation to The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen is added to each reservation
        • At check-in you may choose not to participate.
        • As part of our dedication to the preservation of the natural wildlife and landscape, a donation of $1 per night has been added to your bill in support of The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen (TNFW). TNFW is a non-profit partner that exists to encourage the understanding, appreciation and conservation of the natural resources of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In supporting this organization you will help protect the beauty and environment of Wintergreen Resort. We hope that during your stay you will take to opportunity to visit the Nature Center and learn about the wonders of the world where we live.         Protecting you, the guest, from financial loss during your stay
      • $4.95 per night InsuraGuest protection policy is added to each accommodation
        • In-room guest accidents, room damage, and theft of guest property can happen at any hotel. These risks could be excluded from commercial hotel insurance policies and are potentially the responsibility of each guest. InsuraGuest alleviates the guest’s burden through a direct-to-consumer policy that protects the hotel’s guest(s) while in their hotel room.
    • Reservation restrictions may apply including minimum stay requirements. Example (but not limited to) all homes require a two night stay or more.
    • Packages and promotions may not be valid for all unit types or for all dates.
    • Additional charges may apply seasonally for view and/or location.
    • Every effort is made to honor requests, however, we cannot guarantee specific location, view, bed configuration or in-room amenities.
    • Packages and promotions presented on this resort website and booking site are valid for individual resort guest reservations and may not be valid for group bookings.
    • All rates are subject to change without notice.

    Check-In:

    • Check-in begins after 4 p.m. or as accommodations become available. We are happy to offer early check-in when your accommodation is clean and ready, so please stop by the front desk, located in the Mountain Inn, as soon as you arrive. If your accommodation is not ready, you can pre-register and start enjoying the resort facilities.
    • Photo ID and credit card are required at check-in.
    • Reservation balance is due by credit card at check-in. AMEX, VISA, MasterCard and DISCOVER cards are accepted.
    • Credit or debit cards are also authorized at check-in for incidental charges - $20 per night. Any excess authorized funds will be released after your departure; it can take 3-7 days for your financial institution to release the funds.
    • Cash is not accepted at check-in but may be substituted at check out. Checks are not accepted.
    • Guests must be 21 or older to reserve or check-in to resort accommodations.

    Check-Out:

    • Check-out is 11 a.m.
    • If you would like to extend your stay, please contact the front desk the morning of your departure. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

    More Need to Know:

    • Due to the natural terrain of the resort and internal grade changes in each building, hills and stairs are inevitable.  Most units have multiple stairs indoors and outdoors.  If an ease of access unit is required, please advise the reservation agent during the booking process so they can assist with choosing the perfect location.
    • Wintergreen Resort managed rental accommodations are all non-smoking, which includes e-cigarettes, and vaping.  A minimum of $500 fee will be assessed to guest if evidence of smoking is discovered inside any unit.
    • We are unable to allow pets in Wintergreen Resort managed rental accommodations.  A minimum fee of $150.00 per night will be assessed if a pet is discovered in the rental accommodations.
      • Motorcycles and motorhomes are prohibited.
      • Outdoor grilling is not available at rental units and homes.
      • Rollaway beds, cots and sleeper sofas are not available in rental units.
      • Portable cribs and high chairs are available at no charge.
      • Parking space at the rental unit is limited to 2 vehicles with the exception of Eagles Court and Dobie where 1 parking space is provided. Overflow parking is available at Wintergarden lot.
