Post-Labor Day Operations: Lake Monocan is open from 11 am - 5 pm Fridays through Sundays to Wintergreen Members and Lodging Guests and open to the public with fee Fridays and Sundays. Operations are subject to change without notice and will open as business levels allow. Boat Rentals are not available.
Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park is located at 239 Camping Ridge Lane in Stoney Creek in the valley and is staffed daily with a lifeguard, weather permitting. Snack bar, canoes, kayaks, sandy beach, picnic area and outdoor charcoal grills are available. Some fees apply; towels not provided.

Members and all registered resort guests have complimentary access to Lake Monocan Park. You will need to present a proper ID or pass for complimentary access. Each guest will be required to get a wristband at the snack bar (located at the dock).

Any of six picnic areas can be reserved for a fee, in addition to the Park Access Fee. Each picnic area has an eight foot long table, charcoal grill and trash can.

A full service snack bar offers chicken nuggets, mini pizzas, candy, and novelty ice creams. A small selection of retail items are available.
The lake offers rental kayaks, paddleboats, and paddleboards. Last rental is available one hour before scheduled closing. There is a paved two mile walking/running trail that follows the lake and the Stoney Creek Golf Course.
Lake Monocan Rental Rates:
239 Camping Ridge Lane, Nellysford, VA 22958. From I-64 take Exit 107 (Crozet, US-250). Take US-250 West 4.7 miles to VA-151 South, turn left. Follow VA-151 South 11 miles to Monocan Drive - look for the Stoney Creek at Wintergreen sign. Continue on Monocan Drive for 1.9 miles; turn right on Camping Ridge Lane (you'll see a sign for Lake Monocan Park).
