Group Lessons (Reservations Not Taken)

First Timers & Beginners

Group lessons are currently not available. We hope to be able to offer group lessons soon. We apologize for any inconveniences. Private lessons are still available. Call 434-325-8179 for more information. 

First Timers & Beginners Ski and Snowboard group lessons (ages 8 & above) are for those who have never skied/snowboarded before or have only tried skiing/snowboarding once or twice. The focus for the lesson will be familiarization with the equipment and learning to turn, stop and ride the chairlift safely. You will get exclusive access to our learning area and our magic carpet conveyor lift for the duration of your lesson. 

Lessons are 2 hours in length

Hours: 

Sunday-Wednesday: 9:30am-11:30am, 12:45pm-2:45pm, 

Thursday-Saturday/Holidays: 9:30am-11:30am, 12:45pm-2:45pm, 3:30pm-5:30pm* 

*3:30pm group lessons not available on days when there is no night skiing, which includes early season, late season, and non-holiday Sundays and Mondays.

Cost:

Monday-Friday:$94;

Saturday/Sunday/Holiday: $99

Lift tickets and rentals must be purchased separately. 

Private Ski & Snowboard Lessons 

Private lessons are not only a great way to learn to ski or snowboard, but you can revamp your skills and become a better skier or snowboarder. Private instruction offers you one-on-one coaching and instruction with one of Wintergreen's trained instructors many of whom are PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) or AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) certified. Our instructors have the passion to help you learn to love skiing and snowboarding as much as they do. Choose from one or two hour private lesson sessions throughout the day.

Lift ticket and equipment rental is not included in the price of the lesson. Participants are required to have a valid lift ticket.

Early Bird Private Lesson - Be the first out on the slopes with our Early Bird Private Lesson.

• $144, one hour private lesson.
• Additional guests $114 per person. 
  
• Offered most weekends and holidays at 8am.
• Lift and rental equipment not included. 

Parent and Me Lesson - The safest and most fun way for a family to ski or snowboard together! We’ll pair you up with an instructor who will teach to everyone in the group and give the adults some tips and tricks to keep the kids learning throughout the rest of the day.

• $254 (includes one parent and one child)
  
• All whom may participate in this private lesson must all be the same discipline, i.e. all on skis or all on snowboards.

• Additional Guests $124 per person
  
• Only 1 hour availability 
• If you have multiple children under the age of 7, the Parent and Me lesson must have individual lessons reserved.

8am*, 9:15am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 1:45pm, 3:00pm, 4:15pm and 5:30pm* 

• 4:15pm & 5:30pm lessons are not available when the slopes close at 5pm 
• *8am & 5:30pm private lessons are ONLY available during holiday and peak times
• Holiday Periods: December 26-January 1, January 14-16, and February 18-20
• Peak times: Saturdays & Sundays
