Something is Brewing Up on the Mountain!

Get ready for a spine-tingling adventure at Wintergreen Resort’s Spooktacular Haunted Chairlift Rides, kicking off this Thursday, October 24th! This thrilling event will have you descending the Blue Ridge Express under the cloak of night, as eerie, spooky scenes unfold beneath you. From ghastly ghouls to shadowy forests, every moment of the ride will immerse you in the Halloween spirit.

Once you’ve made it to the bottom, gather around the warm fires at Checkerberry Cabin. Enjoy Halloween-themed activities, treats, and drinks to soothe your nerves after the spooky descent. The fun doesn’t stop there! Each night, a different Halloween-themed movie will be playing, starting at 7:15 pm, making it the perfect place for families and horror fans alike to settle in for some festive entertainment. Don’t forget to try your hand at pumpkin bowling and other ghoulish games that will add to the evening’s delight.

This event is open on multiple nights, running until November 2nd, and costumes are strongly encouraged to bring extra Halloween flair! The chairlift rides start at 6:30 pm and the Halloween fun continues until 9:30 pm, giving you plenty of time to soak in the thrills and chills.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, and don’t forget to dress warmly—it gets chilly when the sun goes down.
