The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen (TWNF) exists to encourage the understanding, appreciation and conservation of the natural resources of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia. TWNF facilitates research and education for its members and visitors, and will serve as a host site for regional, national, and international conservation efforts. Hiking maps and trail maps may be obtained from TWNF's home base, the Trillium House at Wintergreen. TWNF offers a variety of programs from an introduction to the Blue Ridge Mountains to intensive studies of the region's flora and fauna to explorations of Virginia's cultural history. The Foundation naturalists and volunteers lead hikes and outings weekly.
