Wintergreen Freeride Team

We’re proud to share some incredible news from the slopes! Our Wintergreen Freeride Team recently competed at the USASA (United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association) Nationals at Copper Mountain, the pinnacle of snowboard and ski youth competitions nationwide!
For those who aren’t familiar, USASA Nationals brings together the best of the best from 33 regions across the nation, totaling around 1800-2000 athletes each week! It’s the ultimate proving ground for young athletes aiming for the stars in skiing and snowboarding, with pathways to Future Tour, Rev Tour, and even the Olympics!

Representing our region with skill and determination, our Wintergreen Freeride Team battled it out against the nation’s finest, and put Wintergreen Resort and Virginia in the spotlight.

We want to give an extra shoutout to JB Beyer! JB showcased his incredible talent by clinching second place in slalom in the Grommet Boys category, facing off against 40 top contenders from all corners of the country! But that’s not all – JB’s domination didn’t stop there. He claimed the top spot overall in his age group, a testament to his unmatched dedication and skill!
